FAQ - WHAT IS THE SIBERIAN SANDBOX?

The Siberian Sandbox program is a simple, rigorous exercise regime using the weight resistance of a medicine ball to optimize the workout for guaranteed results to committed participants. Developed and directed by Sasha Gier, the Siberian Sandbox program is holistic and nets its adherents enhanced fitness capacity in strength, endurance and flexibility. Both mental and physical discipline are developed throughout the program to contribute to the overall well-being of individual participants - no matter what level of fitness an individual is at when entering the program.

FAQ - WHO IS SASHA GIER?

If told by Sasha, his story would be called "The Little Immigrant That Could". Sasha Gier went from being a sergeant in an elite Air Assault Unit of the Soviet Marines, to being a poor Canadian immigrant that spoke no English. Limited by his language skills, he sought employment where he could capitalize on his physical attributes. From washing dishes in restaurants to bouncing in nightclubs, Sasha developed his English language skills and adopted the Canadian culture in his lifestyle. He later accepted a bylaw enforcement position with the Municipality of Whistler; graduated from Executive Security International (Colorado) and built an executive security service in his spare time. Sashaʼs keen awareness of the physical environment and people contributed to the success of his business.

Recognizing the limited opportunities for kick boxers in the Whistler area, Sasha was determined to develop a training and coaching program to assist aspiring martial arts enthusiasts in his community. His dedication to the martial arts, mental and physical stamina, and passion to excel has been conveyed to each of the athletes he has trained, with the results evident in regional, national and international competition championship titles. Sasha has trained everyone from elite professional athletes, including numerous Olympians, to the average person who wants to take their fitness to a new level. In his clients, Sasha always looks for personality, and strong desire.

Sasha is personally driven to succeed in every venture he undertakes, and he is happy to share his enthusiasm, experience and knowledge with others that have similar motivation. Hard work, discipline and dedication, along with a passion for excellence are the key themes in the success story of Sasha Gier. He is motivated by the pure joy of seeing others succeed in their physical fitness pursuits coupled with mental keenness and strength of character. FAQ - HOW DO I KNOW IT WILL WORK FOR ME? IS THERE A MINIMUM FITNESS LEVEL I NEED TO BE AT IN ORDER TO BEGIN THE PROGRAM?

The program works for everyone. The program is based on progression training so you can start with a low weight Medicine Ball and a low intensity workout and work your way up from whatever fitness level you are at to start with. Using this progression training method and by increasing the weight of the Medicine Ball, your body, muscles and mind are constantly challenged. As well, using alternating routines it prevents your body from adapting to the rhythm. With these constant challenges you will start to see quick results.

FAQ - IF I CONTINUE WITH THE DVD PROGRAM - WILL THE DVD PROGRAM WORK FOR ME?

You will see noticeable results from using the DVD program. Like the in-person class training, results will vary with each individual. The DVD program results will vary from what you get attending the actual class program because under the direct supervision of the coach the workout is modified as you progress.
